Health & Safety Policy

Management of The Ventin Group Ltd., Architects is vitally interested in the health and safety of its employees and has the obligation to ensure that the measurers and procedures prescribed in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, EPA and all works comply with its Regulations.

It is The Ventin Group Ltd., Architects’ philosophy that:

  • Protection of all employees from injuries and occupational disease is a major continuing objective.
  • Safety is everyone’s responsibility and a condition of employment.
  • All staff must receive adequate training in their specific work tasks to protect the health and safety of themselves and others.

The Ventin Group Ltd., Architects has obligation to inform the worker of the existence of any potential or actual safety hazard associated with their job. All workers and supervisors under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and EPA have an obligation to work in and compliance with the Act. Workers must report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions to their immediate supervisor, wear all the personnel protective equipment or clothing that The Ventin Group Ltd., Architects requires to be worn.

Management will be held accountable for the health and safety of works under their supervision and are responsible to ensure that machinery and equipment are safe and that workers work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures by receiving adequate training in their specific work tasks.

Each worker will also be held accountable for their own health and safety and the health and safety of other workers by working in compliance with Federal, Provincial and local laws including safe work practices and procedures established by The Ventin Group Ltd., Architects.

Contractors and subcontractors undertaking to perform work for The Ventin Group Ltd., Architects must, as part of their contract, comply with all relevant workplace and environmental health and safety legislation.

All accidents and incidents must be investigated, and recommendations will be reviewed for implementation. Failure to detect and report hazards or any contravention of the act will result in progressive discipline or discharge.

It is in the best interest of all parties to consider health and safety in every activity. Commitment to health and safety must form an integral part of this organization from the Senior Principal to the workers.
