Renewing a waterfront tradition.
Dating from around 1919, the Island Club is a summer gathering place for the Royal Canadian Yacht Club’s sailing members. Its dining and social spaces also support weddings and receptions in the upper-floor banquet room.
The project restored the exterior and verandahs, introduced an elevator to the upper floor and renewed main-floor washrooms. A new city-facing bistro, bar and dining area reconnects club life with the waterfront. Interior renovations covered approximately 10,350 square feet.
