Living within the hillside.
House on Haliburton Lake uses a long, narrow plan to give principal rooms lake views while integrating the building into a sloping wooded site.
Floor-to-ceiling glass, opening clerestories and continuous interior and exterior materials connect the house to its surroundings. Douglas fir rafters and integrated lighting animate the ceiling.
