New Tecumseth Town Hall

A new civic life for a former school.

Adaptive reuse gives the former Alliston Public School a new role as New Tecumseth’s town hall. Retaining a substantial portion of the existing building creates space for municipal offices, council chambers and meeting rooms.

The former gymnasium becomes the council chamber, while an atrium of timber and glass welcomes the public. Filtered daylight and generous gathering space bring a warm, open character to this civic centre in the heart of Alliston.
