COVID-19
To Our Valued Clients, Partners and Team
As collaborative efforts continue to confront the COVID-19 pandemic, our team is committed to keeping you up to date on how +VG Architects is approaching this situation. Our team, like yours, is continuously monitoring developments and information and adapting to this fluid situation. Prioritizing the health and safety of our employees, clients, and extended team members, we are working to maintain the well-being of our communities.
At this time, we have made the following changes:
- Our office locations are now open by appointment only. We continue to have transitioned the majority of in-person meetings to conference calls or video conference sessions.
- +VG Architects has a very dedicated family, who remain mobilized and continue to serve our clients now utilizing Work from Home arrangements, with reduced in-office staff as needed.
- We continue to be committed to delivering all services while respecting ongoing directives of public health authorities.
- As of November 11, 2021 +VG has approved a company wide mandatory vaccination policy for all staff.
Thank you to everyone who has implemented constructive practices and joined forces to help contain this spread. Challenges such as these are best met with everyone collaborating as a team. We continue to support our clients, neighbours and communities updating our health and safety measures in respect of current Public Health guidance.
We will post updates as developments and information change.
Sincerely,
+VG

- Immunization reduces the risk of disease transmission to employees, their family, co-workers, and members of the public.
- Immunization has been found to be both safe and effective in reducing the risk and preventing the transmission of communicable disease.
+VG COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
This policy serves to acknowledge the current threat of the COVID-19 global pandemic on the health and well-being of our community. The purpose of this policy is to protect employees, clients, and any third party visitors to the Company’s premises from acquiring COVID-19.
As such, it is mandatory that all employees take steps to become and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19 – using any vaccine series approved by Health Canada – unless that employee has an applicable medical or Ontario Human Rights Code exemption.
While the Company recognizes that some employees may have concerns or objections to getting vaccinated, we accept that national and international experts agree that vaccination is safe, and that the benefits to employees receiving it outweigh the risks of receiving it; therefore, we are committed to protecting ourselves and others by getting vaccinated. Exemptions will be made, where appropriate, for medical and valid Ontario Human Rights Code exemptions.
When a new employee is hired, they are required to provide to the Company government issued proof of vaccination, verifying the date they received both doses (as amended from time to time by Health Canada) of the vaccine prior to commencing employment. The Company will comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code with respect to any exemption requests.
By Friday December 10th, 2021, employees are required select one of the following options and confirm their selection in writing to your Studio’s Health & Safety Management Representative:
- Provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 in the form of a government issued certificate
or proof of vaccination.
OR - Submit a written request to the Company for an approved Medical or valid Ontario Human Rights Code exemption.
As of December 10th, 2021, any unvaccinated employees with an approved Medical or a valid Ontario Human Rights Code exemption will be required to submit regular weekly testing for COVID-19 and are required to self-isolate until a negative test result is available. The frequency of testing will be assessed by the Company in consultation with any applicable public health guidelines.
Any employee who fails to provide proof that they have been fully vaccinated will be deemed to be unvaccinated for the purposes of this policy.
Effective Monday January 31, 2022, all employees will be required to be vaccinated, ready and available for safe in-person meetings with people both in and out of the office as required by the company. Regular weekly testing for COVID-19 of unvaccinated staff will not be accepted after January 31, 2022. This excludes those that have received a written/confirmed Medical or Ontario Human Rights Code exemption.
Once proof of vaccination status has been submitted to the Company, it will be kept in the Company’s secure employee personnel files. Employees’ vaccination status will not be shared with other employees and will remain confidential.
